Here at the BIC, we understand how important it is for businesses to innovate and that is why we are committed to helping forward thinking organisations explore their own innovative ambitions.

To aid this process and contribute to regional growth we have developed the North East SME Innovation Programme.

Utilising £724,000 of ERDF investment and part financed by the European Union’s ERDF Competitiveness Programme 2007 – 2013, the Innovation Programme is helping to promote a step change in the region by encouraging North East businesses to explore their innovative potential.

Is your business eligible?

 To be eligible for the Innovation Programme your business must be:

  - a north east based SME

 - a minimum of 12 months old

- have the ability to impact on the north east (i.e. job creation)

So how do I get involved?

The next step is to pick up the phone and call on 0191 516 6021 and we will answer any questions you may have about the programme and guide you through the initial eligibility form.

An additional benefit of the programme is that it also offers access to a pool of chosen specialists who will not only look at the viability of your idea but will also look at the longer term business benefits of developing it.
