Bio

I am a manufacturing systems engineer by background, with a history of creating innovative solutions for clients which have secured patents internationally and been sold in the UK, USA, Europe and Australia. My particular strength is in devising simple, economical solutions with relatively few parts made from fairly standard materials with normal processes. I’m comfortable working with advanced technologies, but only use them when they deliver real client value.

In an old example I designed a fence paling that uses 1/3 of the steel of the standard product yet delivers 3 times the strength. (We could have used even thinner steel, but working it was more difficult and would have made the product more expensive). That product secured international patent protection and went into production with one of the largest businesses in the sector.
