Sunderland Software City
As a founding partner of Sunderland Software City, the BIC is well placed to develop and deliver a package of support services under the Software City banner to help you start or grow your software related business.
Sunderland Software City is inspiring and supporting the growth of the Software Industry in the North East of England, aiming to make the area the place to do business for the international software industry.
The private sector initiated, publicly backed organisation brings together the best of the public, private and educational sectors to generate a sustainable software industry in the region and drive the development of world class software businesses.
This includes continuing to work closely with partners like Sunderland City Council and the University of Sunderland to ensure the region’s software industry has the right facilities, the right business support, the right connections and the world-class workforce it needs to compete on a global stage.
The Sunderland Software City project is part financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), managed by the Department for Communities and Local Government.
The ERDF programme is bringing over £300m into the North East to support innovation, enterprise and business support across the region.
