Case Study - 1DayLater

Software Ventures attendees Paul and David King established 1DayLater in 2009, their aim to launch an online system that allows businesses to record and track things such as time, mileage, and expenses in a simple and easy to use format and ultimately save time and money.

Challenge
Small businesses and freelancers often find it difficult or time consuming to accurately record time spent on clients, mileage, expenses etc. and can ultimately not record time they have legitimately spent with clients. This costs the individual money in terms of lost earnings and expenses not allocated.

Response
1DayLater was launched to address the problems that small businesses, freelancers, and service based businesses which base fees on hourly rates - such as solicitors, accountants or design consultancies come up against.

Result
1DayLater, a system of the same name that allows users to make entries on the go quickly and at any time using a web browser or text service, has moved from testing to full launch and is already developing a great customer base and some very notable accolades including Top 10 North East Brands and PC Mag Best Free Software 2010.
