Carole takes the lead at newly named Tedco Business Support Ltd

TEDCO, one of the UK’s longest running and successful enterprise agencies has announced a change at the top as its former business development manager Carole White takes on the role of head of business and operations.

Taking over the helm from chief executive Doug Scott, following the successful merger of TEDCO and the North East Business and Innovation Centre (BIC) Ltd earlier this year, Carole will head up the newly named TEDCO Business Support Ltd branch of the business.

So named in recognition of how important business support is for sustained business growth, the agency will continue to provide a focus for individuals who wish to start their own firms.

Carole White, head of business and operations at TEDCO Business Support said:

“TEDCO has a long history of delivering business support not only in the north east but also across the UK and we feel our move to the BIC can only serve to strengthen this, it gives us the opportunity to develop our portfolio of investor readiness services.

“This is a really exciting time for the business and I am very much looking forward to working with the advisers in order to develop our existing range of services.”

In addition to offering business support expertise TEDCO will continue to deliver the Ready for Business programme in the region which to date has helped to create 227 jobs since its launch in summer 2012.

Paul McEldon, BIC chief executive added:

“TEDCO has a superb reputation, helped hundreds of people both in the South Tyneside area and much further afield to start their own business ventures. By focusing on investment readiness and business support services I am confident that Carole and her team will be able to support many more and I am very much looking forward to working with them.”
