This online event is brought to you by CityLife Business Support and is delivered by experts from the North East Business & Innovation Centre.

Aimed at private businesses who may have become more socially aware during the pandemic and would be interested in learning about social enterprise as a means to delivering their social objectives as well as to diversify their markets and income streams. Using the many examples we can refer to, the workshop will cover;

• What is social enterprise

• Legal structures recognised as social businesses – focus on Community Interest Companies and Co-operatives,

• How to register

• Funding available for social enterprises and how to apply.

About CityLife Business Support

Citylife Business Support is a new service for SMEs who have be adversely affected by COVID-19. Funded though the £1.5 million Capacity Fund that was granted to Newcastle City Council by the North of Tyne Combined Authority. Business & IP Centre Newcastle and NewcastleGateshead Initiative have developed a package of free support that will focus on enabling businesses to develop and implement new models of delivery to help them recover and plan for their future.
