Festive fun for junior Black Cats

safc-christmas-2Young fans can enjoy a hat trick of football, face-painting and festive fun when the annual Junior Black Cats Christmas Party returns to the Stadium of Light this Christmas.

On Sunday, December 11, members of Sunderland AFC’s official junior supporters club, which is free to join, can join club mascots Samson and Delilah for a very special Christmas celebration at the home of the Black Cats, where Father Christmas himself will be paying a visit.

The Christmas party will invite junior fans on a special behind the scenes tour of the Stadium of Light, allowing them to visit the changing rooms and walk out the tunnel like a real Black Cat.

As well as behind the scenes tours, supporters can also look forward to a morning of entertainment, including a magician, face-painters, balloon artists, prizes to be won and an extra special gift from Santa.

Rachel Divers, Head of Commercial Sales at Sunderland AFC, said: “We’re delighted to be bringing back the Junior Black Cats Christmas Party for 2016, after last year’s successful sell-out event.

“Our young fans will have special behind the scenes access to the Stadium of Light before joining Samson and Delilah for an afternoon of festive fun.

“Plus, rumour has it, Samson and Delilah have invited a few players to the party…”

Tickets go on sale at the Stadium of Light Ticket Office on Saturday November 5 at 10am and cost £10 each. Alternatively, they can be purchased by calling 0871 911 1973.

Parents and guardians can sign up young fans aged 16 and under to Sunderland AFC’s junior supporters club for free at www.safc.com/juniorblackcats.
