Pixie Lott set to switch on Sunderland lights…

Pop sensation Pixie Lott will officially launch Christmas in Sunderland on Thursday 23 November.

The All About Tonight singer will perform a handful of her most famous hits before switching on the city’s festive lights.

Thanks to a collaboration between Sunderland Business Improvement District (BID) the city council and radio station Sun FM, the star will take to the stage at Keel Square where she will join Mayor of Sunderland, Councillor Doris MacKnight, for the switch on.

Pixie’s appearance will follow an hour of community entertainment featuring local singers and choirs, to support the NSPCC and its Light Up Christmas for Children Campaign.

You are invited to send a reporter/photographer/camera crew to cover this event.

Photographers will be permitted to film from a press pit at the front of the stage, but attendance must be confirmed in advance
