40% grant for businesses based in Sunderland

Open call for Innovation projects in Sunderland (closing date 31st August 2025)

What do light bulbs, railways and hydraulics all have in common? They were all invented here in the North East!

The region has long held a reputation for being home to some of the brightest minds in industry, and we’re helping support the next generation of businesses to innovate.

Enterprising Sunderland now offers grants of 40% contribution towards innovative projects valued between £5k and £25k.
