The North East Business and Innovation Centre (BIC) scooped the National Communicator of the Year Award at the National Enterprise Network (NEN) awards in London.

Judges commented that it was clear to the judges that the team at North East BIC are using a wide range of channels to ensure that its communications deliver high impact within the local area. Fully active on social media and with a packed calendar of events, they have a lot to share and should be proud of the impact they are making within their community. The judges also got a strong sense that they are incredibly supportive of the businesses that reside in its premises.

Winners of the nine categories were announced by National Enterprise Network Chairman Chris Pichon and facilitator Declan Curry at the event held at the RBS, London.

Awards were presented to Network members to recognise excellence in the delivery of enterprise support and encourage the exchange of good practice in categories for: Enterprise Communicator of the Year, Client Engagement Award, Future of Enterprise Support, Enterprise Coach/Mentor of the Year, Enterprise Team of the Year, Unsung Hero of the Year and Enterprise Support Organisation of the Year.

The organisation received high quality entries from their network of members across each award category – testament to the excellence and achievements across the Network.
