Employers and educators can showcase their opportunities to people of all ages, at a special recruitment event as part of Sunderland’s first business festival.
A week of virtual and in person events are planned across the city from 4 – 8 October, designed to showcase Sunderland’s growth and its exciting prospects.
And on Wednesday 6 October the programme will include a Recruitment Fair at the Stadium Of Light, where businesses for across a whole range of sectors can highlight job options and training.
The event is being designed to appeal to everyone from students to people thinking about a change of career, want to upskill or have been out of the job market for any length of time.
Businesses from across the region are being encouraged to sign up to take part, giving them the chance to meet up with potential new members of their workforce.
The City of Sunderland Business Festival is being organised by Sunderland Business Partnership and Chair, Ellen Thinnesen, believes the recruitment fair will play an important role.
“There are lots of industries which have been struggling as a result of Covid 19 to find employees,” she said.
“This is a great opportunity for anyone working in industries such as hospitality to take part and show what they can offer to people of all ages.
“The recruitment fair is aimed at people of all ages and we are hoping to attract a wide range of exhibitors who want to take advantage of this great opportunity.”
Stalls at the event are £200 plus VAT and can be booked by contacting Bernice Saltzer at firstname.lastname@example.org
Alongside the full programme being organised by Sunderland Business Partnership, the Bridges will be running Bridges Means Business, with different activities each day, designed to showcase a range of industries and job opportunities.
