Overview:

The North East BIC is home to the largest specialist social enterprise team in the region.  As the team gears up to deliver a range of new projects, we are expanding the administration team to help with the office operations.  This role requires someone who is organised with methodical and analytical thinking with experience of working in an office and customer service environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • First point of contact for all new social enterprise clients and existing customers via phone, email and face to face
  • Support the management team to assign enquiries to appropriate Business Advisers and aligned contracts
  • Manage data including data input and maintenance of customer relationship management systems and associated paper files
  • Work with the team to produce and collate evidence for contract funding claims
  • Support the team to provide information to clients, support with diary management and workshop/event bookings
  • Provide administrative support to social enterprise team
  • Liaise with Marketing to ensure the website is up to date with all products
  • Support Manager with management information
  • Provide information to Contracts Manager with respect to externally funded projects

Key Skills/Qualifications:

Essential

  • Good level of administration experience
  • Excellent communication skills with experience of inbound and outbound call management
  • Very customer orientated
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Excellent IT skills and ability to quickly adapt to bespoke company software
  • Team player

Desirable

  • An empathy with clients wishing to set up a business
  • Some experience of organising training or events would be an advantage
