Full/Part time:         Flexible

Salary:                      £19,047.60 Full time, Part time pro rata + benefits (post is part funded by CLLD as part of the Innovate for Good project)

Start date                 Immediate – Fixed term to September 2023 with the intention to extend

The North East BIC has an experienced team of social enterprise professionals who have established themselves as regional leads in this sector.  Working with funding partners on our Innovate for Good package of support for aspiring and established social entrepreneurs in Sunderland.

Following a successful pilot, we are looking to supplement the team and recruit a full/part-time administration assistant to support the team with the delivery of this fixed term project through to September 2023.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To be the first point of contact for all new social enterprise clients via phone, web enquiries, social media, walk ins and email
  • Liaise with existing customers, diagnosing needs and promoting relevant products and services
  • Arrange appointments with clients, manage Business Adviser diaries and arrange rotas for workshop delivery and outreach work
  • Ensure information given is current and to signpost clients accordingly, maintaining regular contact with internal and external organisations for project promotion
  • To produce and collate evidence for CLLD funding claims and work with clients to obtain evidence for outputs accordingly for differing contracted projects
  • To input and maintain Client Tracking Systems
  • To control the recruitment and coordination of Innovate for Good CLLD workshops to ensure the venue is in accordance with Trainer requirements
  • Coordinate with Marketing to ensure website is up to date with the CLLD social enterprise offering
  • Work alongside Business Advisers in that all information necessary for Counselling is relevant, up to date and plentiful at all times
  • To provide administrative support to Social Enterprise Team
  • To support the Social Enterprise and Innovate for Good Managers with CLLD management information and claims information

Key Skills/Qualifications

  • Excellent communications skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • An empathy with clients wishing to set up a business
  • Knowledge of the start-up environment and enterprise network would be preferred
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • IT literate to adapt to bespoke software
  • Very customer orientated
  • Business administration experience
