LK Therapy and Wellness, a dedicated holistic wellness practice focusing on women’s health, has officially opened its doors at the North East BIC.
Founded by clinical aromatherapist Lucy King, the clinic offers tailored reflexology, bespoke aromatherapy, and specialist wellness rituals designed to support women through every stage of life.
Located in Unit 77T in the Riverview building, Lucy has transformed the previously empty office space into a calming, cocoon-like sanctuary overlooking the River Wear, carefully creating a space where clients can switch off and focus on their wellbeing.
The move to the BIC represents a fresh chapter for the business, which launched in 2019, giving it a permanent home surrounded by a supportive business community.
LK Therapy and Wellness addresses a key gap in the local market by offering specialist reproductive reflexology to support women dealing with fertility journeys, PCOS, or endometriosis – a service previously scarce in Sunderland.
Lucy King, owner of LK Therapy and Wellness, said: “I knew I wanted to create a safe space specifically for women to leave their daily pressures at the door. Trying to balance work, children, healthy lifestyles, and hormonal changes is so tiring. I wanted to help rebalance them.
“When I did my reproductive reflexology training, I realised there aren’t many places in Sunderland offering it – so it’s a unique service for women here. Every person that comes through the doors has their own story, and I love how our therapies always find a way to help and support them. I tailor each therapy around the individual with a real holistic approach.”
Every treatment at the clinic begins with an in-depth consultation covering everything from lifestyle and stress to sleep and physical health, ensuring that it’s fully customised. Alongside reproductive and maternity reflexology, the clinic offers signature treatments such as the ‘Ultimate Reset’ and ‘Head in the Clouds’ sessions.

The clinic operates Monday to Wednesday with flexible evening appointments.
