Growth Lab Sunderland: Podcasting for Beginners Masterclass

Organiser: North East BIC

From inspiration to action: Learn the essentials to launch your first podcast

Brought to you by the North East BIC, this fully funded Growth Lab Masterclass is designed to help founders, freelancers and small business owners take their first confident steps into podcasting.

Following February’s packed out Growth Lab Podcasting Special, one thing stood out: lots of founders, freelancers and small business owners are curious about podcasting but aren’t sure where to start. This hands on session is designed to change that.

Whether you want to try being a guest, launch your own show, or simply understand the easiest way to get set up, this workshop will give you the confidence and know how to get going.

What you’ll learn

How to be a great podcast guest

Not ready to host your own show yet? No problem. You’ll learn how to put yourself forward for guest spots, what hosts look for, how to prepare, and how to make every appearance count for your business. You’ll also pick up the core skills of hosting along the way.

Essential DIY podcast kit

No fancy gear needed. Issy will walk you through the simplest and cheapest ways to record good quality audio from home – including budget friendly microphones, free or low cost editing tools, and what you don’t need to buy.

Q&A with Issy

Got a specific question about your business, your idea, or your setup? Issy will answer practical questions and give honest advice based on where you’re at.
